Feature request: News tab

Hi,

 

I can't help but wonder whether that's something that has been requested before, but my search didn't return any results so I'll just go ahead :)

 

The feature I'd like to request are additional tabs to unburden the Description tab. Currently, pretty much any information a mod author wants to share has to be entered there. This may include news, a list of common problems, a FAQ, and not to forget the description of the mod itself. While it's possible to make that work somehow by creating sections with BBCode, I don't think many users actually bother to read through huge walls of text until they finally found what they were looking for. And while authors can also use the comments to post news, for mods with high comment activity this doesn't really work well.

 

So it would be convenient to have a tab for 'News', where the authors can announced updates, post change logs, link to compatibility patches and other relevant stuff, etc. This news section can just look like the comments section, and every entry added to the former could be mirrored in the latter so users would be able respond.

 

Another potentially useful tab would be 'Troubleshooting' or something like that. It would have to be configured to enable it and other than that it would just work like the description tab. I think for mods with large descriptions this will increase the chances of users actually finding the answers to the most common problems (which pretty much every mod has).
