NoxStellans
Hello there! So I'm a very inexperienced modder looking to add the Civil War Overhaul to my copy of Skyrim. The CWO apparently requires ENBoost. Well and good. I can sort of get my head around how to download the binary (sort of), but it's the presets that are worrying me. Not only do I apparently need to make changes to my SkyrimPrefs, it seems like I need to download a million different other mods just for one specific ENB preset. Being a newbie modder, I'm not exactly keen on that concept. If anyone can offer me any advice for downloading ENB and recommend some good ENB presets that don't require a stack of other mods to be installed, I'll be very grateful. Thanks! blitzen
You don't have to use a full ENB to use ENBoost. If all you want are the memory changes, then set "UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true" in the enblocal.ini file.
NoxStellans
Really? That's awesome. Thanks; I'll give it a go!
NerevarII
Since when did CWO require enboost ? I always used it fine before I installed anything ENB related .
NoxStellans
*shrugs* That's just what the mod description says. I'm just going with that. Steps 4 - 9: If you do not have any of these, install them. If you don't know what anything on this list is, YOU NEED TO FIND OUT. BOSS, SSME, ENBoost, SkyUI, SKSE, and the Unofficial Patches. blitzen
Really? That's awesome. Thanks; I'll give it a go! Make sure that the parameter settings are appropriate for your hardware though. There are guides for doing this that you can find with a search engine. You would also benefit from Sheson's memory fix in addition to ENBoost, if you aren't already using it. I'm guessing that S.T.E.P. has instructions for using both of these.
NoxStellans
I think my parameter settings are all right! And since I have SSME, I'm going to presume the memory fix was bundled in with that.
