Thebestname
Well, ya, it is kind of a pain since I noticed that in New Vegas merchants of any kind don't carry their inventory, unlike fallout 3, can somebody make a mod to fix this / is there one already made? I couldn't find one in the 10 mins i spent looking.. so thx in advance ^.^
webster63
i read the explanation about the inventory for vendors was stored away in an underground vault so if you kill them you get nothing but what they have on their person (but this doesnt explain traveling merchants) not sure if i agree thats the best way to do it but i can understand how it is way too easy if they let you steal an entire inventory like that IMO they should have a token inventory around the store of several guns and ammo simular to what they are selling so if you want to you can kill and rob them to get supplied for free without getting 5000 caps worth of stuff Edited February 13, 2011 by webster63
Thebestname
Well, ya like in Fallout 3 the traveling merchants have their merchandise in the Brahmin (spell?) but when you attemp to loot it, nothing... And if you think about it, that is what would happen irl, so you can't say it isn't realistic ^.^
webster63
well then you would or should limit them to what fits on a brahmen and what caps (if any at all) they might carry so maybe 25% of what you see them have now and 100 caps or less maybe is IMO about right for them. if this could be done then i could see you being able to clean them out but they would be armed to the teeth and have good armour (as would you if it was your job) since everybody and their uncle wants to kill and rob you
