Androme
Could a mod please change the name of the topic to: ''Mod Request: Level scaling for NPC's lower/same level as you for increased difficulty.''? Thank you. After thinking and discussing about this for a while, I've decided to revise my suggestion, I believe these four changes would add a moderately challenging mod for those who want a more challenging experience. The following changes apply only to NPC's that are the same level as or lower level than you, so as to ensure the player still needs to progress troughout the zones, you can't just jump into Skellige immediately:1. Humans & non humans always 1 level above Geralt.2. Monsters always 2 levels above Geralt.3. Bosses always 3 levels above Geralt.4. Stats increase at a flat value each level-up rather than with diminishing numbers the higher your level. (To balance against NPC's always being higher level than you) This will ensure a number of things:- A challenge is presented to the player at all levels.- Player power increasing as you level up relative to the average foe you meet.- You will never be overleveled for any of the content present in the game.- The importance and meaning of equipment, weaponry, oils, bombs, potions and the players skill build will be greater than before. I don't know if these changes are even possible to implement without the ''redkit'', but if they are, I'd love for a mod like this. The reason I'm making this suggestion instead of trying out one of the current difficulty mods, is that most of them are bloated with massive amount of unecessary changes that make the game either tedious or unintentionally too easy. I believe having as few changes as possible is vital to ensuring the mod doesn't feel bloated with tons of unecessary changes and accidently imbalancing the game. I believe there's already a mod out there which makes it so that you get the full experience reward for finishing quests you're overleveled for, I believe combining that mod with these changes would make sense.Thank you for reading. faktorfaktor
Don't bother, it's pretty much impossible to make a mod like that without REDKIT3.
Androme
Don't bother, it's pretty much impossible to make a mod like that without REDKIT3.When is this Redkit coming out then? And while at it, do you have any good difficulty mods to recommend? The only ones I've found seem to rather be personal projects to change the game to the mod creators liking rather than simply heightening the difficulty presented while retaining the same gameplay.
