DarkForce101
Good afternoon all, After a two year hiatus I would like to pick up where I left off playing Oblivion... however I appear to have lost my notes on what mods I was running. Is there any way of finding out? Also, because this is the first time I will have tried it, is there any chance of getting an old save up and running when the game has been heavily modded... or is it a non-starter and I should simply start again (would rather not, was doing quite well)? Thanks in advance. Martin PS. I did search around but could not find anything that would answer my question.
WastelandAssassin
do you have all your mods installed, or have they been removed??because as far as i know, you won't find such information on the save, so if you don't know which mods you were using, and you don't have the mods installed, or an old load order, then you can't really know (this is as far as i know, so there may be a way i don't know of) as fpr running the save again, that really dependsif it was heavily modded, then there is a chance that you won't even be able to load the save, due to too many missing parts (because anything mod related will be removed from the save, as the mods are no longer there)if you can load the save, then you may be able to continue, but this really depends on which mods you were usingi don't think there should be a problem, but there is always a chance that something will go wrong if you are planning on using new mods, then you might want to start againif the mods only add items, but don't affect the game (like add items in a new chest), then you should be able to run such mods with your old saveif you plan on using mods that really affect the game (like OOO, MMM etc), then you should probably start a new game (though such mods do instruct you about how to use them, and some tell you how to use them on an existing save)
bben46
If you were using OBMM, and you have not lost the OBMM stuff, it has a list of every mod that was installed, and which were active for every save made while OBMM was used. Look under Utilities > Save manager
