MadTod
This has been bugging me for quite some time and I would like to hear other peoples opinions. Whether it be Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim I only play quest mods that are fully voiced, however with Fallout 4's protagonist being voice there will be no way to voice their side of the conversation and thus making fully voiced quest mods impossible. Unless this spawns a whole new type of mod: Complete Character Voice Overhauls; Where talented voice actors (and actresses) re-voice all of the protagonists dialogue who then can offer their services to authors of quest mods that wish them to be fully voiced. If anybody else has had the same thought or just wish to voice your opinion leave a comment, I'm eager to hear what other Fallout fans/modders have to say. Fenryr3001
I never thought about that. And because the Conversations are now Mass-Effect style,it would actually be near impossible to add dialouge. We haven't seen the PC conversation system,so maybe they will change it for PC.
Tony the Wookie
I simply found a voice actor who can mimic the voice of the player character... Simple enough. You are overthinking this.

bben46
My own guess. Only the intro will have a fully voiced Player - and probably just in the cut scenes. Otherwise, it will mean hundreds of voice actors would be required to do variations based on each and every possible player character. Even if every male is required to use the same male voice, and every female the same female voice it would be awkward. Unless Beth has some voice generator that does away with the need for actual voice actors. [select voice: Male/Female/Other] [select age: very young/young/early mature/middle age/old/ancient,] [ Select language: US English, UK English, AUS English, French ... ] [ select accent: US Midwestern/US southern/US New Jersey/ UK London/UK Wales/UK Scott/ AUS Sydney/AUS SA, South African, Jamacain - etc] Nah, I just don't see that yet.
Tony the Wookie
Conversations are now Mass Effect style. Are you referring to the elementary simple player character shrugging in the E3 demo? You must have very little faith in modders if you think we aren't smart enough to do something that incredibly simple. also... During the E3 presentation they specifically mentioned the ability to walk around during the conversation. https://youtu.be/D5esyZPt5Jo?t=11m54s
Fenryr3001
OK, I thought every Conversation would be like that. Also I didn't say it would make it impossible,it would just be a good bit harder.
Tony the Wookie
Good bit harder? Looks pretty elementary to me.
