quartet1977
Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem with this mod. The capes show up when worn by NPCs, but when my character puts one on, it doesn't appear. It's in my inventory, and it's activated, but it doesn't show on my character no matter what else she's wearing. I'm running the FCOM version, and I just doublechecked the load order. Everything seems to be right. I have also switched off the 'unlimited amulets' feature in my bashed patch, as hemingwey suggested. Any suggestions for a fix? Thanks! Hickory
It's probably the armour or clothing that you are wearing. Some (most?) armour has the 'Hide Amulets' flag set. Does the mod have any tail slot capes? If so, use one of those, assuming you're not playing a beast race.

And the capes that I have tried have not been slotted for tails, only for amulets.

Unfortunately, my character equips the amulet capes as expected, so I'm none the wiser. My advice is to rule out your save game. Make sure you have quit to the desktop and start a new game. Go to Divine Elegance and buy a cape (cheat for some money, as it's only a test), and see if your character equips a cape in a new game. Hemingwey
Quartet1977: I don't see anything in your load order which should hide amulets -- at least so far as I know (I am not familiar with all of the mods you installed). This leads me to believe it is possible you are using the 'unlimited amulets' feature of Wrye Bash, which results in no amulets showing. Did you ensure you do not have this feature active in your bashed patch? Beyond the above, I am stumped. Hemingwey's Capes has been out for over a year (various versions) and I have not had any reports of a similar problem in that time...unless the problem is something like the above. Regards, Hem P.S. It is also possible you somehow did not install/somehow do not have all the meshes and textures for all of the capes...perhaps try redownloading and reinstalling the mod... Edit: I didn't read the original post very well...you say you have 'unlimited amulets' turned off... Edit2: Thinking about this...I am not sure how 'unlimited amulets' works...but perhaps you will need to disable Hemingwey's Capes with unlimited amulets turned off, then load up the game and make a clean save, then reactivate Hemingwey's Capes and repurchase your capes...that's about all I can think of at the moment. (The thing that has me stumped is your statement that NPCs are wearing capes, just not your character -- even when otherwise naked.)

I wish the solution were an obvious one, because I have used this mod before in a previous game, and loved it. That in itself makes this more confusing, because, while some of the mods are different, my setup was essentially the same, and the capes worked fine. I even had 'unlimited amulets' active. That was a previous version of your mod that I was using, but still. Anyway, I'll try reinstalling, then if that doesn't work, I'll try a clean save, as you suggest. Beyond that, I might have to resign myself to envying the NPCs who get to wear your capes.
