Dead Money mod ideas?

i think it would be cool to have holoemitters that you can deploy like a mine and it lasts for X amount of mins. once an enemy gets close enough to activate it. being able to stick them on walls and celings would also be cool.

This mod has both deployable 'mine' emitters, and a personal emitter you can carry on you.

It wouldn't make sense to turn Helios into a giant emitter; especially if it's already being used to power ARCHIMEDES. What the BoS could conceivably do, however, is use ED-E's schematics to make eyebots with emitters on them instead of weapons; or simply make adhesive emitters to stick on walls on important strategic areas.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Cloud Grenades; basically smoke grenades that release the Cloud, but not enough to stay permanent.

One idea I would like to see:

Remove your explosive collar (using a high explosives skill check) or at least disable the explosive part. Now Elijah can't detonate your collar and you don't have to worry about all those stupid radios blowing your head off.

Bonus points if you only disable the explosive part and Elijah doesn't know about it, so you can go about your game as usual and put up with the beeping noise without the risk of the collar actually exploding. You might at some point point out this fact to Elijah and laugh in his face when he threatens you. Could make the ending part much easier because he can't detonate your collar and thus you have plenty of time to clear out the vault at your leisure if you wish.

Or, get Yes Man to analyze the vending machines and find a way for them to create Securitron parts. Maybe if you have Yes Man activated by the time you head to the Sierra Madre then when you are captured then Yes Man sends a securitron to go find you. You arrive at the Sierra Madre and suddenly Yes Man shows up to see if you need help, you get him to disable your collar (or have to disable it yourself if Yes Man is programmed not to tamper with explosives), put in security measures in Yes Man to make sure Elijah can't hijack him, and then go through the Sierra Madre with your own Securitron companion. Yes Man might not be able to attack the enemies but he could provide a distraction or hack vending machines or do other stuff.

Maybe find a way to upload Yes Man into the Sierra Madre... and turn all the holograms into holograms of Securitrons! They would all be loyal to you and perfectly willing to clear out the ghost people. If the vending machines can create securitron parts then you could turn the Sierra Madre into a Securitron factory, have robots acquire chips, get parts from the vending machines, assemble the parts into more robots, etc.

Similar things could happen if you are well along in the House, NCR, or Legion quests. If you are on a mission and get captured at the Sierra Madre then after uniting the companions you find someone was sent to find you. It could be an NCR Ranger, Legion bulletsponge (sorry, I just have no respect for the existance of Legion personnel and think a Legion 'companion' in the Sierra Madre would likely consist of one bulletsponge arriving to tell you how the Great Caesar misses you, seeing said bulletsponge getting eaten by ghost people or holograms, have them quickly replaced with another loser sent to help the first one, see that one die horribly, and just keep getting them replaced as they all try to fight unkillable holograms until you can bypass obstacles by hiding behind piles of Legion bulletsponge corpses), or Mr. House could send a securitron AI to find you and help you out. Each of your faction companions would try to help you out or find their own way to harness the secrets of the Sierra Madre.

Or you could have your faction companion just remove your collar, maybe free the other companions of their collars or kill them, and then either walk out the door to handle this stuff after Hoover Dam or deal with Elijah.

It would also be neat to get one of those Vending machines and give it to a faction as a gift... the Followers of the Apocalypse, The NCR, The Legion bulletsponges, the Brotherhood of Steel, The Enclave... just figure out a way to program the Sierra Madre to send your chips to a different location and put a vending machine there for your buddies to use. Or I suppose you could have them go to the abandoned bunker and they just pick stuff up themselves.

Also: Incorporate the Sierra Madre Vending Machines into the Securitrons somehow. That way the Securitrons could collect things like cigarettes or pre-war clothes (or other things that can be [Returned] with the right codes) convert them into Sierra Madre chips, and then convert those into whatever people need. If the Vending Securitrons can make more Securitron parts and can acquire more chips then they could become self-replicating or at least repair other securitrons who were destroyed.

in the hidden ending i presumme elijah used the vending machine to create sevral hologram emitters and brought the mojave wasteland bos to power if u paid attention to the quote for that ending u would understand that elijah improved helios and set up the holograms to kill most major factions in the area leaving only the bos (as they would be in hidden valley at the time of the attack of the could on hoover dam) possibley mr.house (the lucky 38 is pretty sealed) and most certainly yes man, alive the most major change would be scripting the death of all out-door non-robot npcs friendly "bos holograms" all over the mojave(especially at hoover dam) cloud blocking the sky and hoover dam being near toxic (unless u wear the approitate suit or something) the strip being replaced with "new vegas paladins, scribes etc" and possibly a cloud immunity perk thanks to elijahs research on the cloud and certanly the sierra madre's vault has to have a hidden section of some sort as elijah heavily implied to the courier by telling him "not to go into the vault" as in the extra sections despite it being obivuos he was communicating with someone in the vault itself
