Guest deleted459013
I've got a few butterfly knives in real life, and they're pretty nice looking and fun to use. They're not that outside of lore for oblivion (not that much worse than a lot of the stuff out there, anyway...) and I doubt it'd be that hard to model one- anyone think it could be done? Guest deleted459013
Bump. Here's a full picture of a butterfly knife. Doesn't have to be animated or anything properly, it could probably just use dagger animations... http://www.varietyartsdirectory.com/images/pics/balisong3.jpg
vvk78
I don't think it's been done. Frankly, though the butterfly knife may look cool in real life, it may be extremely unwieldy in the game, since it is too short range (the blade is much smaller than usual game daggers), and the dual handles look like it would not be easy to make it look realistic when gripped by the player. It may also cause graphical tear (mismatched seams) with the gauntlets, though this is just a hunch. You can take a look at a previous Dagger thread, if you want nice knives/daggers.
