NMM Using too much space?

Hi guys I'm pretty new to the whole modding scene, I actually just recently built myself a new computer so I could get a little more into it :laugh: But with using NMM i've noticed that not only are my mods installed in the proper game folder but are also archived in the NMM folder itself essentially leading to a bloating of my only 1tb hard drive.

 

I was wondering if there was some way to make NMM not need the archived mods saved into it's folder to function as the games that are modded function fine without them.
