Its a POKEWALK. You know, Nintendo Pokemon Game for DS. That thingy is a walk counter, and you put your DS Pokemon in that thing via Wi-Fi. If you walk a lot, Pokemon levels up. That device was put there to indicate that woman was also a gaming nerd.
