KimberJ
You can load the entire load order with FNV edit. It will show a message to why it's crashing on launch. Also you can find LOOT an sort but cancel out of it, an filter hide messageless plug ins, then see the messages for issues if any. No telling what it will say, but it's a decent guide, also it will say if any of the mods can not be cleaned. Though typically "dirty mods" cause random issues an only if there is a large amount of "dirtyness"
T0YB0X
1. I tried FNVedit, no messages as to why it is crashing. 2. LOOT didn't change my load order from he last time and there are no red messages on plugins. 3. I did notice that on remaking the merge patch, all of it's contents are red and yellow... snostorm
download wyreflash, when you click on each mod it'll show the masters required, a crash like that sounds like a missing master esm/esp file.
KimberJ
um, have a bunch of deactivated .esp an .esm in the data folder? Use em or lose em. Deactivated have been known to cause probs. The only other thing I can think of is the menu an UI, to which you can reinstall the UI mod or mods you use.
T0YB0X
download wyreflash, when you click on each mod it'll show the masters required, a crash like that sounds like a missing master esm/esp file.LOOT says there are no missing masters, so I doubt that is the problem. I have also run a check (with my own eyes) for any files that were labeled as .esp but were tagged as a master (such as nexus alerts us to periodically). Nothing there. The UI mods were the last things I installed and I am using quite a few. Wouldn't a merged patch fix those as well? Only trouble is my merged patch seems to be all errors as it is... KimberJ
I think UIo has to have the individual UI mods installed separately an the game loaded up. Since you got "quite a few". You would go back an remove them, an refer to Uio or switch to it if you were using outdated Ui merging. It's pretty simple, remove the UI mods an launch the game, if it doesn't crash you got your answer. Though if you didn't use NMM it wouldn't be easy to uninstall *ahem* hint hint. In that case just keep installing the UI until you get it right, thus overwriting the mistakes you made which may or may not be possible. You could delete the menus folder an verify integrity of game cashe an steam might download an replace the folder. Alternatively the vanilla menu folder might be stored inside a .bsa The Merge Patch needs to be hand edited after creation, it's typically used by modders. It's an override loading at the end that can use content from the mods that load before it. Thus allowing content to be merged. It works well for list type data, but the rest that it picks up on requires hand editing. You can look up data types on Geck Main Page if you wanted to learn how to fix things or become a modder. T0YB0X
That's the thing though, I don't know why it is crashing. I haven't changed my UI mods in some time and I am using UIO. Didn't have any issues. I think it may actually be something visual. My reasoning for that being that before, I had a freeze after I was prompted to choose between regular and hardcore in Doc Mitchell's house. I did something (I think I just reinstalled ILO) and now it just crashes on launch.
