ell46
Assume this is a joke  but Google isn't a problem neither is Nexus or I wouldn't be here  it's only the BW sites. Perhaps I should have said that I've just installed little freebie program called PeerBlock and I wondered if that is causing a problem and perhaps I should also say NO I DO NOT make a habit of using hacks'r'us.  Edited February 20, 2011 by ell46
bben46
The link I gave is to a site that only checks whatever URL you enter. It checks through several other ways and returns whether or not that particular site is down for everyone - or just for you. :whistling: Which is precisely what your original question was. If the sites were down for some reason, it would have told you they were down for everyone. Now, if you really want to know if peerblock is causing this, run the check and if it returns just for you, remove peerblock and try to access bioware again. if it works - well, now you know.
ell46
Sorry, I'm having a bad day. It is Peerblock that is the problem, I can see EA * was on the blocked list so I've allowed permanent access and that has fixed it. I am surprised... of all the sites I wouldn't have thought it would block that, still you live and you learn. Thank you for your help and that link now I understand what it does. I'll keep that in case I need it again.
