johnygt6
Ok i was thinking to start a Project.A whole new <<campaign>> for fallout new Vegas.A zombie story based on resident evils raccoon city.In this story player must find a way thourgou a whole new quest line to destroy the virus of the dead wich is bringing em back to life.I was thinking to make a new city wich is going to be very big. Like 2 times bigger than the strip ( and freeside and some villages nearby). The city will be raccoon city from Resident evil's and it will be full of zombies. Was thinking to add some Ncr camps here and there maybe Buildings occupied by the Ncr.In some of those buildings there will be quests from the ncr something like << help us defeat the undead which is trying to enter our building). Was also thinking about weapons and ammo.AMMO WILL BE LIMITED.Anyway this for now .more things Incoming, Now i would like to hear ppl's opinions.Do you think a story like this will be intresting? P.S:i wanna hear peoples suggestions .what to add Etc.
Scorpio9
It's good idea.Suggestions: - new map (Raccoon city with its surroundings) - new outfit (RPD, stars, umbrella, civillian) - new weapons (original wep. from game RE 1-3) - few new perks - connection between New Vegas area and Raccoon city - etc... For something like this you will need whole team...
Floatsup
What scorpio said. Have you looked into some of the mods out there btw involving zombies. May want to check those out. Also have you tried do some modding. If not theres a wealth of info here. But you b4 you start into it.May I make a few suggestions. 1. Go to the liquor store and purchase a case of beer.2. Remove soft cuddle friendly animals that may reside in home.3. Keep asperin near mouse. Just incase 4 hours of work is lost ( due to GECK EATING ITS OWN ARSE )4. Go back to liquor store And at this pace we should see your mod, OOhhh,,, I'd say before fallout tokyo. Im at least trying to get mine out b4 fallout new zealand.but hey G/L and have fun with it. Thats the kewl thing. Cheers
Zeratchi
Hello. I love your idea, but I would recommend that you start with something a bit lower-scaled project.Take Resident Evil 1 to begin with. Resident Evil 1 = Alpha team locates Bravo team's helicopter, but there are no signs of survivors; only a severed hand is found. While searching the area for further clues, Alpha team is attacked by ferocious dogs, one of which kills one of the team's members, Joseph Frost. Alpha's helicopter pilot, Brad Vickers, panics and takes off alone. Pursued by the dogs who killed their colleague, Alpha team is forced to seek refuge within a nearby mansion. It is believed to be abandoned.Inside the mansion, the characters start talking about where they are and such, and then part ways to look for survivors and so forth. If you think about the number of rooms and size of the first mansion, it shouldn't be all that hard to recreate (If you know how to use G.E.C.K. = Garden of Eden Creation Kit)You could also try to make this a mansion a 'first part' of the main mod, just to test out the feeling and such. If you were to feel, that this is something for you, you should continue your way at making the second part, which takes us into into the 'second' part of the mod/game. You could also make your mod based on the video/film, which is based more on the underground part of the game, which would be a simpler way of working, since there are already pre-made alleys in the underground. You get my drift anyway. I wish you good luck with the project, but I would recommend that you try and get some more people with you. Best wishes - Zeratchi. johnygt6
What Zeratchi said xD One mission at a time. Iam going to release it all together.Have some free gigs in ur pc's just in case ;).Now about modding. I've been working on some other projects in the past, not something big tho. Also i dont think i'll need a big team for such a thing.Do not forget there is a resi mod for Fallout 3 aswell out.I'll take some of their textures, the only bad thing there is the zombies. they are Ghouls and this sucks.Anyway iam going to get some sleep now.If anyone want to offer any help, ideas, files, textures, guides, voices even ( i wont need voices for now ^^) e-mail me at [email protected]
Zeratchi
The ghoul part, change the meshes/textures, animation, sound and abilities. Don't forget to ask (if required) if you can use their mod for your own usage/mod. But think about it, if you really wanna make your own idea come true, then you've got a lot of hours ahead of you.A lot of building, quests, ammo, weapon redesign, voice acting/casting, remodel monsters/AI, new sounds, textures.. The list goes on :P I've done some voice casting for some other mods, but I'm currently fooling around with GECK.If I feel comfy at helping out, I'll mail you about it ;) Good luck, yet again! P.S:i wanna hear peoples suggestions .what to add Etc. I am simply going to tell you what experience has shown to be true 100% of the time. You can't create some huge masterpiece as your first mod (I'm assuming it is your first since you don't have any uploaded to the fallout or elder scrolls nexus). You're much better off writing a story to vent your ideas or trust me, you'll get halfway through your third partially-completed building and give up under the massive weight of "stuff that has to get done". Why not try creating a zombie filled building first without quests and see how that goes? Or make a few interesting NPCs with dialouge and maybe a short quest attached. I'm only trying to save you frustration later. My first fallout mod was going to be some huge superhero quest line that added weapons, villians, quests, trophies, armors and more. Look how that turned out: League of Heroes Mod Year and a half in and it still felt as if I hadn't got anywhere. I'm not trying to dampen your flare, far from it, I'm just saying both you and the community benefit a lot more from a small, cool mod that works than a huge, buggy, half-completed mod that takes up lots of space but doesn't add a lot. Good luck in future modding, you've clearly got the imagination  Hope I don't sound too much like a grump.
