FosterBear
I'm sure I'm not the first and probably not the last... When I try to fast travel to the Priory the game freezes. If I fast travel to a nearby site and hoof it to the Priory I get the "Loading area" message and the game freezes. I'm fine going to other locations. Can I get a replacement for the file that describes this area? Thanks, FosterBear
bben46
You cannot get a replacement here as that would be piracy. - Uploading, asking for or offering a copyrighted file are all considered piracy. And all of the vanilla game and DLC files are copyrighted. However, I doubt if it would help anyway. All of the files for the priory are included in the bsa files that were included with the DLC. And it would be a stretch of the imagination if that one place was the only one affected by a bad bsa file. My guess is the files are still there, but being covered up by something that was added in a mod, something trat was removed by a mod, or it is in the wrong load order. Here is a troubleshooting aid. Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gamehttp://www.tesnexus....icle.php?id=340 Be sure to test before adding any mods back in.If you can get it to work without your mods, then you need to look at the mods and not the DLC. David Brasher
Do you have any Knights of the Nine mods you are using? Those would be near the top of the list of likely suspects if you have a bad mod. Something about the design of the DLC prevents people from making mastered patches to it, so most Knights of the Nine mods use a replacement .esp which contains all of Knights of the Nine except things like meshes, textures, and sounds. But such a file could possibly make harmful changes to mesh and texture paths.
FosterBear
Sorry, I loaded the prior saved game and did sucessfully fast travel to the Priory. It appears to have been a corrupted saved game. However it occured before the last quick save and auto save so the backup of those files was also corrupted. I loaded the older saved game and will retrace my steps. Thanks for your replies... FosterBear BTY I am playing the GOTY edition and thought the areas were simply individual files, it was not my intention to circumvent any copyrights...
