Import french character to american oblivion

Hi,

i'm currently playing oblivion with a french installation.

 

For various reason, i'm thinking of buying an USA version of the game.

 

Would it be possible to import my character once I have the us version installed ?

 

If yes, how ?

I think that should be possible, as long as you use the same mods (if any). Go to my documents/my games/oblivion/saves and find your character's save there. Just keep it somewhere and install the USA version. After the installation, place it in the same folder again. I think that should work.

I wish it would be that easy. Can someone confirm ? I need to be sure before I order the game again.
