SonOfCapiz Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 zombie apocalypse and zombie mod already populate the mojave with zombies so i'd prefer that to a new worldspace. survival needs are already in the game and there are also mods to tweak that if you dont like vanilla. as ive said, RTS and wasteland defense give you your "fort" already. i just wish they could be tweaked so food you find in loot goes to your population's supply so you have to provide for people. also something like FO3's sharing and caring companions would be good to give you the ability to recruit people. unlimited companions mod is also available but then companions should also have food and drink needs. sigh, its not looking good. SonOfCapiz Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 now this is just becoming wishful thinking on our part but id like having recuited NPCs do jobs, like Raul could be assigned to repair weapons and armor at the base, others could be put to work creating stuff, growing crops, tending livestock or heal others. I find there's already enough food in the world. i like having limited resources (no respawning items) so that you have to hunt and gather stuff from nature. this would go well with my little survival mod that makes the number and chances of stuff collected from plants and animals depend on survival skill. not likely we'll see this though. :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But I'm pretty sure that it is a lot of work into it.But to have the power/commands to do for example: Commands:Scout for survivors/supplies/ammo (One day search) > Name of place/town > Pick x members (More members increase the % of success and decreases the % chance for casualties) > Characters chosen - Phil and Janette.*Wait one day, or do your usual thing*One day later > *Random minor story about how it went* IF success > Found two survivors, no food/drink, found 25x 4.37 ammo | ELSE > Found no survivors, no food/drink, and no food. In addition, Phil got injured by a assault while traveling to *name of place*. Once every now and then, a random encounter with either survivors looking for shelter/food will come, or enemies trying to assault and take over your commanding place. With that kind of control, one could have a lot more fun/to do ^^ But like I wrote, it would probably be a major project that won't be a reality. SonOfCapiz Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) that part, i think , would be easier than the part i said about your group needing food and drink. i even have a little idea of how to go about it. however that part wouldnt do much for immersion if base/resource management and npc recruitment isnt done right first.
