dsheik
The reason I ask is i recently purchased DAI, about a week ago. Downloaded from Origin website, so I would assume its the latest up to date version. Ive used Nexus for modding other games, usually with no problems whether using the downloader or downloading manually. Ive installed the DAI mod manager and a few mods even following a tutorial. The mods show to be active. they have been merged into my DAI/Update/merged folder. Everything appears to be correct, but Im no expert so maybe theres something Ive missed, because none of the mods show up in game. Or being that the game was recently downloaded are these mods even compatable?
Silverstarre
Hi dsheik, If you've downloaded from Origins, it should have updated you to the most recent patch, so that shouldn't be the issue. However, in order to use mods with the most recent patch, you need to be using mod manager v 0.53, otherwise none of your mods will work with the game. Not sure if this helps or not. If not, if you could possibly leave a post with the steps you followed to install mod manager and then your mods? I know that's a bit of a hassle, but it will help in at least figuring out if everything was installed correctly. GrimmPrince also has a tutorial for installing mod manager for the first time on youtube if you want to check that out to see if everything was installed correctly (If you don't feel like listing steps here) Good luck and hope you manage to get things working! sirjohn45
i have watched GrimmPrince's video to the letter and I am still not seeing any of my mods in game and I even started a new game with no luck. I am using the disk version of game and my game is version 1.0.0.9.I am using DAI mod manager v0.53. The mods i am using are: Increase Inventory capacity, MoreFadeTouched, MoreInfluence, MRM_Full and MoreLootFlexCrafting.I have tried reinstalling things and even going into Origin and clicking on repair game after deleting the Patch etc. Nothing. So not sure what there is left to do other than not use any of this which is a shame.
Silverstarre
Hi sirjohn45, Please make sure you followed the steps below: 1.) Download mod manager and extract files into a folder called "Mod Manager" or a name of your choice2.) Create another new folder called "mods" (do not place inside your mod manager folder)3.) Place any mods you plan on using into the "mods" folder (either the .dai files or if not in .dai format by extracting the zip/rar and then placing the folder inside of your mod folder)4.) Open your mod manager. When opening for the first time it will ask you where your game is located. Find your game executable (ie the file for the game itself, not the shortcut)5.) Hit the browse button and then select the pathway to your mod folder6.) DO NOT create a "merged" folder. The latest version of mod manager will create one for you when you merge your mods for the first time.7.) Hit merge on the mod manager8.) If done successfully, then in your game directory, inside the "Updates" folder, you should see a folder called "Patch_ModManagerMerged" inside of the folder you should see a file called package.mft and a data folder. If all of these steps were followed (please look closely to make certain) then there are a few other things to check: 1.)Check to see that your mod manager is showing the latest patch (mod manager will list it as version 9)2.)Check to make sure that there is only one patch showing in your mod manager3.)Check that you have .Net Framework 4 and Visual C++ Runtimes installed on your computer, otherwise mod manager will not work If none of the above solve the issue, it would help if you could snap a picture of your opened mod manager so we can eliminate whether or not the problem stems from something there. Don't give up on using mods just yet! :)
dsheik
Silverstarre, thank you. I was using Mod Manager version .48. I installed .53 and the mods that are current are working properly. Thanks again
