Jesse6669
I was playing FO:NV today, and i tried to play it again later today, but when i attempted to start the game through the fallout mod manager, i got this message http://i55.tinypic.com/22kj9u.jpg "You are using a newer version of fallout then this version of nvse supports" i know this is not true because steam says nothing about an update, and i haven't seen other people with the same problem. anyways i re installed fallout mod manager, and NVSE and still get this problem. another problem im getting is that when i check for an update with FOMM i get the "something bad has happened" crash. they may be related. here is a copy of the crash dump Monday, February 21, 2011 - 6:47:57 PMFomm 0.13.21OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Version..ctor(String version) at Fomm.MainForm.checkForUpdateToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) The only changes i have made since i played earlier today was reinstall a texture mod, i doubt that caused this problem any help would be apreciated Edited February 22, 2011 by Jesse6669

Jesse6669
so are both errors caused by this? well this totally sucks. will NVSE automatically update?
WizardOfAtlantis
No it own't automatically update. The wizards will update NVSE asap, like last time. I'm watching here for it myself. dafi536
Yep...Having the same issue with NVSE. Steam probably updated in preparation for the U.S. release of Dead Money tomorrow. When this happened in the past, I had to manually Download the latest version of New Vegas Script Extender.

AnewLancelot
I dowwnloaded and followed the Instructions From http://nvse.silverlock.org/ "Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Fallout NV directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas\. If you see files named FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod." Four files total. I deleated the originals then Copied and pasted the new files in. nvse_1_1.dllnvse_editor_1_1.dllnvse_loadernvse_steam_loader.dll I just looked at the SteamApps/FallOutNewVegas/ Aplication Icon says I am running 1.2.0.352 And the Launcher is 1.2.14.0. Does that mean I recieved the update from steam? I launched using FOMM (launch NVSE button) and it opened I did a few things (ran around, shot a rifle, etc...) but it crashed when I went to save. Did it again and it crashed when I tried to fast travel. Now what? Edited February 22, 2011 by AnewLancelot
