JGRCET
I have recieved the new update to FONV and have put in the latest NVSE, major problems have come into the game wether online or offline. Game crashes when trying to quick save or enter any door. I have a heavily modded game. Now FOMM will not open the game at all. Tried to scan disk and repair but steam exe closes the run time so that didn't work. Reinstalled FOMM, could get back into the game but still crashes at quicksave and entering any door wether a mod or a vanilla cell. Never did like using the steam entry into the game, would prefer to have that taken out completely. Most problems and crashes I've experienced have been from that app. It would be nice if someone could come up with a fix that excludes the steam app altogether but leaves in FOMM and NVSE. I will try and uninstall and start new game (for the umpteenth time) later today and post the results. I'd like to someday get to the conclusion of all the quests that came with the game. JGRCET
Ok got the game back, at least for now. Spent most of the day yesterday fixing it. Started by reinstalling the esp's and esm's, found out that most all of them had a date time stamp of 1/8/2008, odd because most of the mods i use were created in late 2010 and 2011. Don't know if that had anything to do with the new update or not. Never the less it did not fix the issue. Tried using earlier saves, that didn't work either. Reinstalled the game didn't help. Deleted and installed the game, twice, dign't fix it. So before i deleted everything and started with a fresh install, i decided to try and start a new game and that did the trick. Although i'm still having issues with getting in and out of different mod cells, but i was having that problem before the latest update. My best guess, is that somehow weither it was caused by the new update or not, my game at that time of install was corrupted and unplayable. At any rate i didn't have to delete to a new install as i have so many times in the past. i would still like to see a seperation of steam from the game.
