iAmbrosius
HI, First post on this forum. However I have been modding Oblivion for some time. And last night I found something funny when reinstalling the game with mods. When had finished installing all my enhancements I went on to the performance mods. I got the script fixer, OSR, and streamline running with OBSE 0.19 The first thing I noticed was that, and even without streamline having initialized even, my surroundings got swallowed up by what is better described as *void* however it is actually swallowed by the sky. So basically everything 4000 units away from me is hard clipped and replaced by the weather as if I was living on a flat planet...I have a vid of this for better understanding what I am talking about. Now trust me, I have fiddled about all night. Ended up deleting all my mods from the load list and just using vanilla and streamline 3.1 of course. It is persistent.Furthermore, I turned of streamsight in the ini file and the clipping is gone. Now here comes the deal. I got streamline solely for that immersive depth fog... Cuz I like it. I hate the AEVWD LOD etc., feels like I am in legoland. I want fog and fod to make my world more immersive.I can't use OBGE as the game is ported to mac. However the porting does not play an issue for the game itself. I just shouldn't install the newer directx. As for streamsight, I got it working on an old install of the game.. however i had to delete it cuz of bad fps, and reinstall with better reduced textures, no UL, no better cities.. etc. Anyone who has any idea why the fog doesn't wanna come and the clipping happens instead. And why streamline doesn't even need to initialize before this happens. Though Initializing through console startquest slini2 doesn't even help. I have also fixed the fog distances to incredibly near. And the uGrids etc... but nothing seems to fix the clipping. Even turned on extremeclipping and put it to 400000 200000 100000 without result... Hope anybody knows anything about this. Vidjeo;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWmETryDRi8 bump streamline should restore your ini when you disable features or disable it altogether i have the same problem i used streamsight and bamn now im' in fog soup no matter what i do. its all toghether poor etiquette to make dirty mods like that when they effect such major and obscure settings
