Flaarg Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) Highway Motorcycle (a fast travel substitute) So I know FO3 had a motorcycle mod (so dont tell me about them), but I think someone should develop an entirely new mod, seeing as Im not a mod maker (but am willing to learn the G.E.C.K and or give input/feedback) Meant to be use with a no fast travail mod Description: When highlighting a wasteland motorcycle you will now have the option of repairing it (based on your repair and science skill, or a learned semi-perk from old lady Gibson (with a high enough repair skill for her to teach you)), adding the ability to repair motorcycles around the wastes (rather than just adding a motorcycle to the game), to use to travel from town to town (first version motorcycle only travels along highways/predetermined paths). Though you only need one cycle, it will beak down often, and when it breaks down the option for repair is limited because youve fried some non-repairable part. With the ability to buy a broke down motorcycle from old lay Gibson (causing a broke down motorcycle to appear outside the scrap yard) (This recipe comes from my engineering background, * subject to change from outside input or if I change my mind)*Repair skill: 65-75*Science skill: 25-35*Recipe: Activated motorcycle, motorcycle gas take, motorcycle hand break, scrap electronics, fission battery, scrap metal x2-3, surgical tubing, wonder glue, duct tape, flamer fuel x1, gecko hide, fixin' things mag (50% chance of recovery), wrench (which is retained) Burns 1 flamer fuel per mile (more accurate measurement to come) If your interested in developing, have ideas to improve my idea please let me know. If you think this MOD isnt possible, is unfeasible, the recipe isnt reasonable, or have any general negative ideas/comments let me know, Id be more than happy to hear your ideas and debate the pros and cons. bben46 Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Unfortunately, Obsidian left out any animations to mount or ride anything. We have many requests for horses, motorcycles, cars and even deathclaws that can be ridden. and all run into the same limitation :confused: Before we can have a motorcycle - or anything else like that we need a new set of animations that allow the player to mount, ride and dismount. Then a new set of commands that allow steering whatever it is you mount. Then a way to lock the player movement to whatever they are riding between the mount and dismount part. Question:Is there a way to adapt the animations from Oblivion for mounting and dismounting, or the commands for riding and such?
