Crashes by the number, stutters by the score

I've been trying to do a playthrough of modded New Vegas for the past week. My load order is heavily influenced by Gohper's youtube playthrough but I just can't get it to run properly. It gets a lot of crashes, and when it doesn't then it stutters, even with NV stutter remover. I've tried just about everything. Reinstalling, re-downloading, anti crash, ini manipulation, auto purge, heap replacement, but nothing works. I did a playthough of NV with a similar modset a few months ago and everything worked fine. I didn't receive one crash until about 14 hours of solid play. I'm at my whits end with this. Can anybody help me out? It would be much appreciated. Also, is there something going on with the NMM, because a lot of the files I install seem to be corrupt so I have to reinstall them.

Maybe use LOOT to sort, but cancel out of it so that only the report is generated. See if there's any red flags in the messages, to do that you'll want to filter with hide messageless plug ins.
