Can anyone help?

well, this site is strictly for PC games, so you can't really request such things (at least as far as i know)

however, how exactly can you modify a 360 save on the GECK??

you don't actually modify a save on the GECK, you create plugins, which is a completely different thing (plugins affect the game, not a single save)

so all in all, i don't think you'll get any help here, at least not on this request

I realize that just trying to get help, Converting a save from Xbox 360 to PC

1. Get your save from your HDD/MU onto your desktop.

2. Open the save in a hex editor. Scroll down until you see the name of your save on the right. For example:

S.a.v.e. .6.8.3. .-. .V.a.l.s.e.,. .E.n.g.i.n.e.e.r.i.n.g. .C.o.r.e.,. .0.1.5...3.1...5.4

3. Copy and paste the text into a text file, then get rid of all the extra stops and add .fos at the end. The above save would become:

Save 683 - Valse, Engineering Core, 015.31.54.fos

4. Highlight and copy your new filename.

5. Open your Xbox save in Modio. Go to the 'Contents' tab, and extract Savegame.dat to your desktop. Rename this file with the text you just copied.

6. Drop the new .fos file into your PC save folder, and you're good to go.

Note - I've converted many saves this way, and only one, heavily modified save didn't work.

Converting a save from PC to Xbox 360

- This requires an Xbox save. Make a backup in case it doesn't work.

1. Open your PC save folder (usually something like C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\MyGames\Fallout3). Find the save you want to convert and copy it to desktop.

2. Open your Xbox save in Modio. Go to the 'Contents' tab, right-click Savegame.dat and choose to overwrite it. Browse to desktop and find your PC save. Use that.

3. Rehash and Resign with Modio - and again with Hash Block Calc if possible.

4. Place it on your HDD/MU. And that's it.

Note - Again, I've converted a lot of saves like this, and only one, heavily modified save didn't work.

Using these methods means it's possible to convert the same save back and forth between platforms if you find something you want to change as you play, but can't easily do without the PC version. For example, I used a GECK mod which removes the follower count to get all seven companions, then converted the save back to the 360. It's quite awesome.

But - Good luck!

The G.E.C.K.

Fallout 3 PC

A word processor, I use notepad

A bit of patience

Intermediate knowledge of how to use the G.E.C.K. (If you don't have this just look on Youtube or click this. Main Page - GECK)

Once you have all of these things proceed with the tutorial.

First you need to make a new mod so tic (make sure there is a check in the boxes next to the esp/esm) all of the .esp(s) and .esm(s) you wish to have in your mod.

Once the G.E.C.K. has loaded up completely you are going to go into the world space/cell you want to modify.

Now you must place object where you want them to be in game on the 360. Most the time Bethesda uses a grid different from the one the G.E.C.K. is using so you will need to take the X value from one piece and the Y value from another piece depending on which cell you are editing.

This next step is where the real magic starts to happen. Click on the object that you want in game on the 360, say a wall. You will take the Reference ID of the object you have selected and type it into you notepad document like so. Same thing goes for the Form/Base ID, type it in like this. Keep in mind that it MUST follow this specific pattern to work -

PRID (Reference ID of the current object)

DISABLE (This removes the previous object in-game, but if this messes something up then you can just counter it with ENABLE)

PLACEATME (Form/Base ID of the object you want to be placed here)

Now that you have most of the things worked out, you need to save you mod. Same thing with you .txt document, save it. But note that you MUST save your .txt document in you Fallout 3 Folder, the folder containing the Data folder, the Launcher, etc. Do not put this in you data folder. Also you cannot name you .txt document two words; "My Mod.txt" will not work, "MyMod.txt" will. As long as it is one word it should work fine.

Close your .txt document and the G.E.C.K. and boot up Fallout 3. Make sure that you check off all of the files you want to be loaded including your mod. Once in-game you are going to click the tilde key to access the console, ` or ~; it right next to the one and above the Tab Key on most keyboards. With the console open you must say this command "bat MyMod" MyMod must be replaced by the name of you .txt document.

With everything in play you now need to save your game and exit Fallout 3.

Boot up Fallout 3 again and tic all of the files EXCEPT your mod. This is to check if there were any holes in your .txt document. Now that you are in game, say "tlb" in the console to see better and look around for any objects out of place or holes in the map somehow. If there are holes you need to reopen the G.E.C.K. and go to the location of this hole, take the Reference ID, and search for it in you .txt document to make the necessary changes.

That's it guys. This is the method that I use so now that I've done my part you guys need to do yours. Use this tutorial and make some new mods! I can't wait to see what you guys can come up with. Yes I did use a few pictures from the G.E.C.K. wiki because I'm not using my computer to make this.

In essence it should look like this -

PRID 003EB4A5 (I am the original object's reference ID: Make sure to replace this ID with the appropriate Ref ID)

DISABLE (I am here to remove the old object, don't alter this command)

PLACEATME 000283DE (I am here to put in the new object: Make sure to replace this ID with the appropriate Form ID)

Not my Tutorial from Game-tuts.
