raihuhoha
I am trying to learn how to switch hairstyles with NPCs. For example, the modification Cass Next Door (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38427) has been outdated with other mods rising and the creator falling behind due to real life business and internet issue. Since this modification requires either Mikoto or Lings (I am using Mikoto), I also have NVRedesigned loaded to help improve the graphics of other NPCs. How would one alter the hairstyle for their personal enjoyment? Thank you.
WastelandAssassin
you need the GECK for thisbasically, open the GECK up, and load the plugin that has the NPC in it (if the NPC isn't from the original game), and the plugin that adds the hair you would like to use (if you plan on using a hair not from the original game) after it all loads, you need to find the NPC under Actors -> NPC -> the race of the NPCfind the NPC in the list (if you organize it by name, it would make finding the NPC easier)when you find the NPC, right click on it, and choose Editgo to the Head Parts tab, and there, the upper most box should be Hair, so just change it to whatever hair you would like to use then you can just save this as a new plugin (unless you made a plugin as active), and you are done you may need to learn how to load multiple master files, in case you don't know how to do sobasically, in the folder where your saves are, open the GECKCustom.ini file, and change the following line bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=0 -> bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 this should allow you to load multiple masters, in case you'll need it
raihuhoha
Thank you very much for the reply. I tried changing it, saved the new .esp, but it doesn't work; Cass' hair still has problems. Bleh. :/
WastelandAssassin
well, which mod were you using, to get the hair?? load FOMM, and find your new pluginwhen you click on it, it should show you the list of mastersif one of the files that you used isn't listed there, this probably is the problem if one of the files you used as a master was an esp, it couldn't be considered as a master, and so was removedso you will have to Esnify that plugin, then make it a master for your plugin, and that should solve the problem (hopefully)
