IndorilTheGreat
So, it seems that I have run into a bit of a predicament (a rather shameful one at that); I am only playing Deus Ex for the first time now. I remember playing the first level way back when, and I could never get into it. However, I am now extremely interested in it, and I would like to know what a good skill set up would be for a first time player. Any tips would be much appreciated. And yes, I am aware that I can now be classified as a noob... :whistling: Cheers,IndorilTheGreat
ita
Hey, better late than never. As for your question, I'm afraid I don't have an easy answer..Deus Ex is that kind of game where you really have to experiment a bit and see for yourself what particular skills suit your play style. There are no "right" or "wrong" skill setups, it's possible to beat the game with any combination of skills. :) However, I strongly advise you to raise the Computer skill to at least Trained, so you can hack computers, security consoles et.c.. Also, remember that the Pistol skill starts out at Trained so you can lower it if you want and invest the points in other skills.
IndorilTheGreat
Well, I decided to go for the stealthy approach (as I already have enough games where you just go in guns blazing - or swords flashing, whatever your preference). Speaking of stealthy... I was in the subway tunnels (where you need to rescue the hostages), and I was crawling through the vents, when I accidentally opened the vent grating, fell onto two NSF terrorists, killing them instantly, and then put a tranquilizer dart into the remaining three. How's that for stealthy? :ninja:
ita
That was pretty damn stealthy, but remember, accomplishing missions without killing anyone has its advantages too. :ninja: Also, - No. I wanted orange. It gave me lemon-line.- The machine would not make a mistake.- It's the maintenance man. He knows I like orange.- So you think the staff has some kind of plot...- Yes. They do that on purpose. ^^

ita
Who knows what conspiracies the soft drink corporate cabals are up to? Clearly the major threat to freedom isn't indiscriminate surveillance, it's the secret society of maintenance workers plotting world domination by replacing the drinks in vending machines all over the world. ;)
