chaospearl Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Quick question: is it possible to disable menu access via a mod? As in, create a mod that stops you from getting into your inventory screen during combat. The topic's come up before (re: Wrye's Combat Fumbling mod) and as of 2007 it wasn't technically possible to do, period, but I can't find any discussion of the matter after that. And I know modding capability has come a long way in the past five years thanks to OBSE. Just wondering if anything's changed.
Graxster Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) A quick reply w/o actually looking into it: In short, the answer is Yes. How do you do it? I have no idea. I will simply say that I was playing a mod the other day (one of the xLovers mods or Cursed Armor mod), and when I was "busy" (either having sex or passed out afterwards), I pressed TAB and it didn't work. I instead got a message, "You can't do that right now!". Edit: A thought: Remap the TAB key to prevent it from working during combat, if that's possible. I know there's mods out there, like "Stealth Overhaul" that ask you to assign hotkeys. So it is possible to change key configuration in-game. Edited February 27, 2011 by Graxster
