Why does my AP fluxuate all over the place?

I was under the impression that AP was a fixed number accrued based off activity points a person gets from meeting certain criteria. I have watched mine fluctuate over 100 points in a day. Do you get points taken away if you don't post every day or do something activity wise every day? It is not a big deal, but I have always thought it was odd that it goes up and down all the time instead of just up.

I have the same issue. Had it be 50-100 points more than it should be sometimes.

I recall seeing a display error for the Activity points, as listed in your profile. At certain times of the days for reason, your points from posting were added into the displayed total twice, temporarily inflating the total.

 

I went to look at my numbers so see if that was still occuring, and I noticed that the numbers for

Activity Points

Total points:

Level:

Rank

have just recently vanished.

That's going to be our standard response to any and all minor issues regarding the back-end behaviour of the sites for the next six months-or-so. :tongue:

 

Seriously, we're aware that the AP and related stats went wonky. But since they affect literally nothing, it may be a while before Dark0ne bothers to see what caused it this time...
