Servalion Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I can't believe this hasn't been attempted yet, at least as far as I can see. In Fallout 3, Grenades blew up quicker and bounced around less with higher Explosives skill. At max skill, grenades blew up virtually on impact. Or did a mod do this? I dunno. If it wasn't a vanilla thing and was a mod, it desperately needs porting over to New Vegas. I'm still a GECK novice so I'm not sure where to look in there for this.As far as I can tell, Explosives skill boosts grenade damage, but doesn't actually affect their detonation delay after impact. If it does, its of far less value than before.This is quite a problem as Dynamite in the future appears to be made from rubber and is bouncy as hell, usually going much further than intended and off in other directions before exploding. Grenades are only moderately better.We all need a mod that greatly decreases the delay of the explosion upon initial impact that is determined by Explosives skill. It could make Dynamite actually useful, and the Powder Gangers a significant threat early on.The exceptions to this would be the Long Fuse Dynamite and the Holy Frag Grenade............for obvious reasons.
