Nagaoka
All righty, I've been wanting to do this for a good long while! However, now that I've started, I realize maybe I should change the direction I'm going in. I'd like some input. What I'm doing is modeling various characters as the adorable Fallout bobbleheads. Some will use the original bobbleheads as a template, others (like non human companions and such) would be their own thing done as close to the style as I can. I'd like to make a full set eventually. All the major companions, many major characters and some particularly loveable minor characters are what I plan to have in this mod eventually. I started off with a few tests. Amata first because she was a character I could model out quickly (just the hair and a few face tweaks) to see how it looks and see if I can get her into the game as an actual item (that you can pick up, throw around, etc.). I went on to do Star Paladin Cross and Colonel Autumn.http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q397/Murasako/amataautumnbobble-1.jpghttp://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q397/Murasako/spcbobblehead-1.jpg Note that Cross's armor and weapon aren't textured yet (which is why they look so bland). None of them have their normal maps either, not that it makes much of a difference. Anyways, before I finished it dawned on me that maybe I should do the Fallout New Vegas characters instead, and find a nice way to use the bobbleheads in that game. What do you think? It is the newer game after all. I could also use some suggestions as to which characters I should do. The companions are a definite, but everyone probably has a different idea of which characters really represent each game. What do you think? 7thsealord
Really nice work. If I was to suggest anyone, it would probably be Desmond from 'Point Lookout'. I kind of see him as a Ghoulified James Bond - a rather battered tux and so forth.
coin409
Maybe you can do Dogmeat on his hind legs making a thumbs up, or wait.... dogs don't have thumbs.
djfrantz
Sydney. Now, you just need to figure out a way to put the bobbleheads on the characters themselves and when you finish/complete their associated quest you get the bobblehead. So when you finish Stealing Liberty you get the Sydney bobblehead, etc... Nagaoka
Thanks for the replies! I'm still thinking about whether to change my focus to the New Vegas squad, but the suggestions so far have helped. I didn't consider the DLC at first, since I never played them, so it does make sense that I should include a notable character from each one. I'll have to work out a full list at some point.
