Lost music for Radio New Vegas...

Tuning into New Vegas Radio, Mr. New Vegas talks & introduces songs like normal, but it doesn't follow with any music.

And the Mojave Music station is also completely silent.

Did I add or remove something with a Mod?

At this time, the only Mod I'm using with any Sound Files is the "Save Cass" Mod.

Any suggestions on how to get Music back on the New Vegas Airwaves?

Sounds like your pip-boy is having a problem playing the sound files. I do remember that the Pip-boy plays a different type of file than the radios scattered around the wasteland.

Can you remember exactly when this problem started, and antyhing you were doing at the time?

Yeah...

Just finished Dead Money.

Opened in-game radio & found two new radio stations.

One is Christine's "Farewell Message" after completing Dead Money.

The other is the sound of Father Elijah trying to break into the Sierra Madre Vault (I left him alive in there).

As I said previously, tuning into New Vegas Radio, Mr. New Vegas (Wayne Newton) introduces the song, but is immediately followed by silence.

Gonna try disabling Dead Money (ESP), load a Save previous to Dead Money & see if the in-game radio is functioning properly.

Will post my results here.

Just de-selected Dead Money (DLC) & any related mods I made...

No luck there.

Mojave Music Radio is silent & other than news reports & song introductions, no music on New Vegas Radio.

The only other things I know are that I've done different was that Steam Updated, causing New Vegas Script Extender 1v6 to be invalid.

I downloaded & installed NVSE v1.7 (Beta).

I downloaded Dead Money & played through it.

I also tested a couple GECK Mods that I was working on with a friend, but none of them had anything to do with sounds or music.

That's really all I've done differently in the last couple weeks.

Got it!

Quick & easy fix.

Just inserted the Fallout: New Vegas disc into my CD/DVD-ROM & selected "Reinstall Fallout: New Vegas."

It searched my computer for my FONV Files, identified 51 missing files (Yes, the music files) & downloaded them through Steam.

Thanks for your support Maniac.

Happy Hunting,

~ Daniel
