hyperultranerd
Ive been trying to install better normal map textures and i came across rtnm, but its incredibly confusing with no tutorial and there is no omod file, (which means no obmm support I believe) so its either manual install or wyre bash, which i don't want to use either. so, any recommendations for better/obmm supported normal map texture mods? Surilindur
I think it is possible to create an omod out of a normal archive or at least out of a folder that contains only the things that go into data folder. Even without omod conversion data, that is. There should be an option somewhere in OBMM to create an omod. It has been quite a while since I last used OBMM for anything else other than bsa creation and unpacking, but I think it should work a bit like that to get the 'Really Textured Normal Maps for Vanilla' mod (original, not BAIN version) to work as an omod: Download the files you want manually from the mod page and unpack themMake sure you have a folder with just the files that go in Data folder, like a folder named "RTNM Part 1" for part 1 of 2 (if you want to have them separately) that contains a "Textures" folderOpen OBMM and select 'create an omod' (or something like it, should be somewhere in there)Select to create an omod out of a folder (if there is a choice between archive and a folder, I do not remember)Select the folder you created (like the "RTNM Part 1" folder) and click select or okay or something like itIgnore possible warnings about missing conversion data, as the folder already contains just the things that go in Data folder, structured correctly, as the "RTNM Part 1" folder contains the "Textures" folder that has all the files properly structuredThe files list (I think there is one somewhere... hopefully) should view the files structured the way they will be in the omod. Make sure the paths start with "textures\..." so that they truly are in the right place, which will prove you selected the correct folder (like "RTNM Part 1" and NOT "Textures" folder) when selecting the folder to create an omod from.Add all the information you want for the new omod in the fields that should be on display and select the options you wantCreate the omod, it should then be added in the right panel amongst other omodsHopefully that helps a little. :) Edited July 19, 2015 by PhilippePetain
