Simple Tes4Edit Question

Hello,

I am trying to place some of Ren's hairstyles into the Moonshadow esp via Tes4Edit.

The problem I am running into is the hair styles do not show up in the game after placing them into the esp.

I can get them to show up by using the CS with no problems. I thought, however, using Tes4Edit would be a little faster.

Any ideas on this one?

Thanks!

TES4 Edit is not designed for building mods. It works best for removing material, inspecting things, and mod-cleaning. There are many many actions you cannot do in TES4 Edit that are a breeze in the CS.

Basically, I am doing the following..

1. Open Moonshadow Elves - NoSc.esp along with X.Races.Comp.esp using Tes4Edit.

2. Click the drop down for hair on both esp's.

3. Selecting, for example, Ren18 from the X races esp and then select "Copy as new record into"

4. Then, using the window that pops up asking which file I would like to add the entry to, I select the Moonshadow Elves esp an click okay.

According to the data, everything is referenced correctly but the hair does not show up..

Hope this makes since..

Respectfully,

Btw, I would really love to learn how to select the hairs I would like to make a complete mod with those hairs included:) That is a whole nother can o worms:)

Simply adding the HAIR section won't work. You will need to add each hair style to the race, too. Else it won't show up in game when you create your character.

Examine an existing race, you will find records for both hairs, eyes, etc.
