If I bought the boxed or retail game do I still need the G4WL removal mod? The boxed / retail game should say on the pack (on the front, at the top) if it uses G4WL. If it does, then install and use the disabler. Doing this (and, also, killing the Autosave) did more for my own game's stability and performance than any two dozen other things.
