4rce2BrecndW
The Decorator Assistant mod is supposed to let me place items from my inventory exactly where I want them. Books on book shelves, swords on sword racks and so on. I found this mod on this site, but the only option I could see to ask a question was a PM, and I have the feeling that the author is not going to write me back for what is probably a dumb newbie question. When I try to Copy the file DecoratorAssistantv1.1 into the oblivion/data folder, I get the message: Windows does not support this CD-R format. Please try another disk. The only folder to copy to under Oblivion(D:) is DXREDIST, I suppose this is the oblivion/data folder that I should be copying to. The OBSE esp requires at least version 5. You can get the most recent version of OSE here: http://obse.silverlock.org/ I tried to install obse.silverlock..... the same way and got the same message. Am I doing something wrong? Your help will be most appreciated. I am sorry if this message seems abrupt. This is my first experience with any forum, and also my first time with game mods. :( Thanks :)

4rce2BrecndW
...Your D: drive IS an internal hard drive, right? No, my C: drive is the internal hard drive. D: is a DVD-RW Drive and E: is DVD Drive. I think I was inadvertantly trying to write the DecoratorAssistant file to the Oblivion Disk, but this is what happend when well.......here is the order I did it in. 1. I downloaded the DecoratorAssistant.2. Unzipped the File.3. Then I single clicked the Decorator unzipped file and went to left and selected the COPY FILE option.4. Then a window comes up with all of the places to copy the file to......the only place I saw an Ovblivion folder was D: drive.....the drive that the disk was in.5. I tried it twice.... the second time I tried copying the DA file to the Oblivion folder through My Documents, then My Games, to the Oblivion folder. Both times it gave me the message: Windows does not support this CD-R format. Please try another disk......also both times my computer said there were files waiting to witten to a CD........., but it wont write to the Oblivion disk. Hope there is enough info here...... and thank you for the response. :)
Povuholo
You are not supposed to add it to the oblivion disk. Do you remember where you installed oblivion? There you will find the oblivion/data folder. If you don't remember, click on the oblivion icon with your right mouse button and select 'properties'. Then look at 'target' (I think that's what it should say in English). It shows the adress of where the game is installed.
4rce2BrecndW
Thank you both very much for the push in the right direction. I copied the files in the right folder, and was able to purchace the spells: Summon Decorator Assistant, and Remove Decorator Assitant from the Mystic Emporium in the Emperial City, but the mod does not seem to be working correctly. When you cast Summon Decorator Assistant...........nothing happens........There is supposed to be an alter that appears for you to drag items over for the proper placement of items in a room. But no altar appears after casting the spell. The spell effects say: Script Effect on character for 1 sec. The spell only lasts 1 second? Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. But.....can one of you or anyone for that matter, point me in the right direction to help with my second problem, I guess the proper forum to ask this question would help me alot.
