sanjima
Hi, to anyone who might be able to help or has had this problem: I've noticed certain textures one by one seem to be looking corrupted or something while I've been playing and I'm not sure why. This happened the last time I had Fallout installed too, with a very similar mod layout.I am mainly concerned because the last time this happened, it seemed to have lead to the corruption of my save file and I had to start again from the beginning.I'm not sure what information might be useful, but I do have a couple of screenshots of the most noticeable corruption, and I can give you a list of the mods I have installed.I'll be happy to provide anything else that might help ^^; In this one, you can see the strange outlining along the edges of the asphalt.http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/7307/screenshot102v.jpg In this one, the texture corruption is most visible in the arm banding. The texture of the vest is also corrupted but is less noticeable unless you look closely.http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/4336/screenshot103y.jpg I can provide the full sized screenshots if it might help anyone. Also: let it be known that none of these anomalies are caused by image compression or anything of the sort. It is exactly as it looks in the game.
coin409
If there was a corrupted texture, it would look purple/pink.
sanjima
If there was a corrupted texture, it would look purple/pink.Granted the absence or full corruption of a loaded texture would appear magenta but what about what's shown in the screenshots?I can tell you for certain that it did not look like that before this happened. *edit:Lemme revise. If it's not the textures corrupting, then do you have any idea as to what it could be? Edited February 26, 2011 by sanjima
coin409
Oh I can see. I'm not sure, but it could be a mesh missing. Or you run on a low resolution setting, making the mesh look like that

Or you run on a low resolution setting, making the mesh look like thatWell, it looks like that regardless if I'm running it on a low or high resolution. Normally I play it on 1920x1080 so I don't think that'd be the problem. As for a mesh missing, it's weird for a mesh to go missing all of a sudden while I'm playing the game. Do you by chance know what would cause that? Ah, and like I just said it just suddenly started doing this while I was playing it earlier. Actually I was walking along that same road when it just randomly started looking like that. A friend of mine suggested my video card was getting too hot but I cleaned it and left my computer off for a while but nothing changed. =x
coin409
Hmm, not sure, maybe it'll be back to normal if you leave you're computer alone for awhile. But anyways, best of luck, methinks! Oh and do you use FOSE or do you use the vanilla Fallout 3 starter? Because I've saw issues with textures and meshes with Windows LIVE on.

I use the FOSE launcher =oActually I launch the game from FOMM but it says "launch FOSE" on the button so I guess that's the same thing. xD
