luthienanarion
Launch the game go to settings, lower the master volume to zero, load the save, enter the vicky an vance, then turn the master back all the way up. Does setting the master volume control to zero stop the engine from trying to load and play sound files, or does it still load and play them at zero volume? I think I must test this... GrindedStone
Yeah if those sliders are set to zero then the data is culled. I set the music an radio to zero unless I want to hear them. Did this trick help you get into the VicVan?
WoodenDOOM
I know this thread is old but I'm having this issue. I tried what this thread says(master volume trick) and it worked but I turn the volume back up and it bugs out then crashes after a few minutes. JohnGrimm
For anyone that's having this issue of Vikki and Vance crashing when you try and go inside I fixed it by turning off the Moddable Unique Weapons mod.
WoodenDOOM
I don't have moddable unique weapons. Seems to be a sound issue, because I turned down master volume and it worked, but then CTD again after I turn it back up.
Aonghus
Wooden, two questions, Are your sound drivers up-to-date? And Are you using the K-Lite Codex pack on your machine?
WoodenDOOM
@Aonghus Good question. I'll get back to you in about 10 hours; not at my machine right now. But I'll check! Thanks, man.
WoodenDOOM
@Aonghus Checked and everything was good. Didn't check for K-Lite. So i just did a complete re-install and cut down on my mods bigtime. No more Project Nevada. Just ENB and advanced recon. Haven't had a crash since.
Aonghus
I mentioned the K-Lite codex pack because with some versions, there is a conflict with the games, and you have to put the games on the exceptions list telling K-Lite not to try to run with them. WoodenDOOM
Ah. I see. Next time I run into a problem i'm gonna check that. Just wanna play the game for awhile though! At this point, I'm pretty sure it was a RAM/memory issue. Cause the more mods I had the less time between crashes. Playing with just:ENB Black outAdvanced recon thermalsNevada Skies Haven't had a single crash!
