SloMoSpeed
HOLD YOUR BREATH! As many others, i love sniping in Fallout: New Vegas. The shakiness of the scope annoys me, a lot. But, as i am an realism-addict, i don't just want it removed. There's already mods for that. This may sound REALLY simple for someone actually knowing how to script.I want a mod, that adds a hotkey to "Hold your breath", while sniping. Could use the H20 Bar as when under water, or AP. I don't care, as long as i get this mod. Thanks in advance - SloMo
webster63
i think what you are looking for is something to change your gun skill with high gun skill the scope wobble is greatly reduced to be more RL normal looking and while its still not holding your breath steady its close enough to get good accuracy its really stupid to have the game make you act like a drunken idiot who cant hold a gun straight and only way way into the game can you act and shoot normally

Holding your breathe would actually increase the shaking, not decrease it.
webster63
actually you exhale, hold, squeeze breathing moves your upper body and NOT what you do when actually shooting but to line up your target yes you breath because you want to be relaxed

For targeting you breathe, but before you take the shot, you exhale. Holding your breathe only increases tension and therefore increases upper body shaking. LtRhapthorn
This could work if we tied the effect of Steady with a button press, that only lasted as long as the button is pressed, or for a set time period, with the H2O gauge used to tell you that time period. bben46
I shot in competition - long ago. (1962) Take a normal breath, let half of it out then stop breathing. Now gently squeeze your entire hand, do not just pull your trigger finger. You should be surprised when it goes off. If you have to stop breathing for more than a few seconds, start over, take several normal breaths before holding again. Competition was small bore 50 feet with a match grade .22 Winchester model 52D with a competition bull barrel. The bulls eye was the diameter of the bullet, (0.2 inch) You cannot even see that at 50 feet. I was the number nine man on a ten man team. That means eight people on the team could shoot better than me. Several years later, using the same technique: Qualified as an Expert Rifleman (along with about a quarter of my platoon). 10 rounds in the 10 ring at 500 meters (about 547 yards) prone position nearly every time with iron sights using an off the shelf (unmodified) USMC issue M14 rifle. (5 inch groups) I really don't think a video game can simulate that very well (yet)
