Hi Grayiron, I use my binoculars a lot. Even though I always carry a scoped rifle, I've hotkeyed the binocs at my no. 8. Just like I always have stims in no. 5. That way it's easy to acess.

I really hate it whenever my companion makes a kill, for some reason my characters get's turned around facing the direction of my companion. It's so disorienting! Especially while running. I wish I knew why the devs did this!

im pretty sure it was to show you the location for you to check the body for stuff but i too dont like it

I find it annoying that I have to go through the Pip Boy weapons menu to use the binoculars. A hot key would be much more useful. I also agree that going prone would be a real improvement.

I was going to add the binoculars can be hotkeyed like any armor or weapon but the real issue is with the obscenely low number of programmable hotkeys for items. Only 8 programmable hotkeys are for items, and binoculars are rarely in my top 8 by the midgame.

And it's not even so much that 4 hotkeys were somehow spent to open the PIP-Boy (though that does tick me off) but it's more the whole programmable hotkey interface is stone aged primitive by todays standards. There are games out there that let you have ONE THOUSAND programmable hotkeys, albeit through the use of meta keys and scrolling hotbars, but even so if you are a decent touch typist (and I'd wager most vet gamers are) you can still move through those choices pretty efficiently.

Having only 8 programmable hotkeys for inventory items is imnsho an insult and really makes the later stages of the game cumbersome by forcing reprogramming of hotkeys if you want to tailor your equipment for a particular mission. And I still have to use of PIP-Boy to get at items that should be hotkeyed but there's no room. And lets not even talk about what happens when you go into a casino ... or maybe we should :)

Why can you only fast travel to a found location? If I can place a marker where I am, why can't I fast travel there? Obviously I know where it is. OK, maybe you want to place a marker where you want to go not where you currently are. Fine, give me a marker for my current location, and let me fast travel there. If it's inside a building, its an established location and I can travel to the front door. But if I'm in the middle of nowhere, I should be able to mark it, fast travel to my bed, supply cupboard, or where ever, than fast travel back to my marker.

Other peeve is, fast travelling to a location I have cleared, and coming out in a swarm of scorpions, or Cazadors ( 1000% times worse.)

Critters repopulate and new ones mosey over and fill the locations you've previously cleared out. This makes perfect sense because the game world would quickly become very sterile if none of the creatures you've killed would ever respawn.

I find it annoying that every time I leave a casino, I have to reset all of my weapon hotkeys (with the exception of holdout weapons) and pretty much what everyone else has said. I'm also a bit disappointed that we don't get to find out much about the Courier's past, which is something in Fallout 3 that helped me relate or feel more in line with my character, although we could always assume the Courier suffered from amnesia due to Benny's antics.

It really grinds my gears when companions walk in front of my shot :wallbash:

I know the feeling. It happens to me with Veronica a lot. Still, I have to laugh at Veronica when she finally comes to: "Ugh!" :) I'm thinking, "well that'll teach ya!"
