Game CTDs everytime I fast-travel to Arefu

The title pretty much explains it, I've come across an issue where my game crashes everytime I attempt to fast-travel to Arefu. It doesn't matter where I'm fast-travelling from, my game consistantly crashes on the load screen after picking Arefu as a target. I honestly have no clue what may have caused this.

Any advice or help of any kind would be greatly appreciated

lets start by cleaning up things a bit. Do you have Fo3edit ?

I need you to just run that and allow it to load up all the currently enabled mods your using.

  1. once loaded, minimize it and go to where you have the plugins installed at, make a new folder to contain what you don't want running. select all the plugins at once, drag them to that new folder. when windows asks to move a restricted file ,select no or ignore them all.
  2. close down the xedit program and re-run it, now there won't be any left over files "loose plugins" left to mitigate through.
  3. rebuilt your merged patch because that data won't be valid any more.
  4. can you walk too arafu?

Just tested that now, and it seems that just being in the general area of Arefu crashes the game, as soon as I got close to it my game crashed.

 

And as far as the FO3edit stuff you suggested, I'll get on that right away

ok, while your learning new things here, I need a saved game at that spot so I can verify some code trapped in the saved games archive.

please upload it to http://www.2shared.com/ so I can obtain it.

I use ghostery applications in my browser to Eliminate any nag netstuff's. I don't see advertisers at all. Good to have.

I can then attempt to make a file to by pass what ever the flaws are there so you can play the game.

Sorry for the late reply, didn't have access to Internet for the weekend. I'm responding on mobile right now and I'll upload my latest save file as soon as I get to my computer.

 

EDIT: Finally got around to deleting my merged patch and creating a new one, and for whatever reason my game is working perfectly now, thanks for all the help kitty! :D
