tim224 Posted February 28, 2011 Share Posted February 28, 2011 hey i made a retexture for the blade of the east sword using photoshop and uploaded it onto |G.E.C.K. When i view the model within the G.E.C.K it looks fine, even when i put it into fallout world its looks fine lying on the ground but when i pick it up for the first time, it goes back to the old Blade of the East with its old texture and stats.... :@ can anyone help???? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moraelin Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Weapons, and some other items too, also have a 1stPerson static object and texture set. Which is kinda misleading, since it's actually used when equipped on the main char, regardless of what view. This allows the game to use more modest textures for when you see the sword on some junkie at 30 ft away, but use high-def textures when it's right under your nose. So assuming that by "upload to the GECK" you mean you created a texture set for your weapon, well, you'll have to repeat the deal for the 1stPerson set.
