phalzyr
I am not that familiar with kf files or how to simply increase the speed of their animation. Probably don't have good enough software, and can't buy it... I have around 20 animation files I'd likea. Stop at begining pose so no movement, and b. Variable speeds each seperate kf file, 2x,3x,4x,5x normal or maybe just up to 3x Can anyone do this for me? Thank you. Permission from original author already given. Can this be done simply with NISkope changing frequency? IF so I can handle it :D Edited March 1, 2011 by phalzyr
fore
It all can be done with NifSkope Stop at beginning: I'm not totally sure if this can be (easily) done in NifSkope, but you can try:Change the stop time (below the frequency you mentioned) to 0Go to the NiTextKeyExtraData record and look for a text key with string value 'end' and change the time to 0If this is not sufficient you probably need to remove all NiTransformData records, but then it's probably time to start with Blender (it's free!) Variable speed: There is a nice tutorial in Sephs Hand to Hand Animation Replacer (Battle Constructor) describing just that: it's a combination of frequency and the end text record I've mentioned above. Have fun
phalzyr
Thank you. Yeah I downloaded nifskope adn saw frequency and thought "No... It can't be taht easy" :D Following example of other animations I was altering these to work with they just set frequency to 0.01 (almost still) So I'll do that. Thank you for responding. fore
I caution you about that. I don't know why people believe that poses have to be a 2 frame thing. I've always made my poses with simply 1 frame, and with 1 frame end time is equal to start time (0.00). The problem with animations is that frame times have to match (otherwise CTDs are possible), and the original kf has no frame with 0.01 sec, rather a hex value which is close to 0,0333.. sec. And thats a value I have never succeded to enter in NifSkope.
phalzyr
so them use 0.0 as a frequency? IF there is a problem it'll cTD every time or just randomly? IF everytime it is easy for me to test...
fore
Sorry, I misread your post. I was referring to end time 0. Never thought about frequency 0.01 (you said you wanted your anim to STOP  ). If SloMo is ok for you, then this will work. But dont't forget to set the end text record time according to Seph's tut. Usually bad anims CTD right away. But I had situations (a mod where anims had missing end frame keys) when it took a sequence until freeze or CTD occurred.
