SheaDay
Out of nowhere my game started having missing meshes pop up on I think all npc's, random places on the ground, and other objects. When this happens I can't pull up my pipboy readius, when I try to my hand comes up and there is a white transparent area behind it. Im thinking its another missing mesh exclamation mark inside the red box. This happens randomly to me. It stops when I reload an old save but then on a couple area transitions it starts happening again. Its driving me nuts. Any idea whats going on? hector530
if you have over 100+ mods or so you'll need to cut about 20 or so. i had the same problem till enclave1488 told me the fix. others also have this problem, the dead money patched FO NV doesnt like a lot mods. enclave1488
if you have over 100+ mods or so you'll need to cut about 20 or so. i had the same problem till enclave1488 told me the fix. others also have this problem, the dead money patched FO NV doesnt like a lot mods. The thing is I don't even run the patch atm, I just copy/pasted the DLC data over into my secondary Steam folder where I have a secondary Fallout New Vegas Data folder.I have encountered some odd stuff before, not with meshes or textures, but after a while and every so often, the game failing to load the map in front of my character.I never realized what could be causing this until today when I learned that running too many mods causes the game engine to fail to properly load data, causing crashes, corrupt game-play etc...because meshes and textures are failing to load, I guess the same is true for maps failing to load.I think that the game engine can only handle so much file seize information from all various mods, until it starts to fail to process data properly and I guess that makes sense, since a computer ( depending on what type etc..) can only handle running so many applications at the same time before it really lags out and causes temporary freezes, which happen to me when I backup 50GB ram data at the same time to my external hard-drive and then try to browse the net at the same time, while listening to music lolAnyways, seems that 110 mods more or less is a decent number to be at for mods, and I guess that also depends on what computer one runs and how much memory it has ( not a big computer person, but it would make sense to assume this, no?) SheaDay
Ok thanks I'll try that. I've heard that elsewhere too. I feel like I didn't have 100+ mods though. Maybe I should count lol
