alkador
Playing my main character as a warrior tank role, found the juggernaut armor, thought 'awesome', until I got the helmet.. It didn't seem to fit the rest of the set and even the metal shade is off, annoyed me to no end. Recently I acquired the Heavy Infantry Helmet,Silverite. I equipped it to check it out and noticed it fit the armor much better. Same shade of metal and same line pattern as the rest of the set. So my request, hoping someone could make a mod that would make the juggernaut helmet use the texture of the heavy infantry helmet, silverite. I added some pics to show my point, to me its Much more suitable a helmet, considering the name and the looks. Thanks in advance! Can click the picture for better view. Below is the original helmet. (yuck..) Below is the Heavy infantry helmet (Silverite, much much nicer in my opinion.) Again, a lot of thanks to whoever whips this mod up =) Edited March 2, 2011 by alkador
Thandal
@alkador: Have you considered using "The Winter Forge" to make your own "new" juggernaut helmet? (Just an idea, rather than waiting on someone else to decide to take a stab at it.)

(Just an idea, rather than waiting on someone else to decide to take a stab at it.) Oh, I wasn't aware of that mod, it looks very interesting to say the least. I would have to test it a little first, I would like to be able to have the helmet to be 'seen' by the game as the original juggernaut helm so I still get the set bonus, but only the texture changed. If that can be done via Winterforge.. then I will =) Thanks for the suggestion! (p.s. But of course, if someone feels up to the task to make the mini-mod and swap the used textures... ;) )
DarkeWolf
alkador- Greetings! Yes, the winter forge has the capability.Basically, you'd want to create the new helm on the forge, then under some of it's settings you have settings for set bonuses. You have two different lists, one for custom made set bonues, and one for in game bonuses. The juggernaught bonuses are in that particular list. I cant give you directions on the newer version of TWF tho. I'm not patched up to the latest version of the game patches, which has got me still having to use an older version of TWF.But yes, it can be done. You can even make a completely new set of armor with a different style, and give it the juggernaut set bonus if you want to ;) have fun :)-DW

If you stick to just the model change, the material and enchantments on the item will stay the same, as well set bonuses. However, with the forge, all, some or none of those things can be modified at will. It is really the ultimate DAO mod in terms of being able to alter the model, appearance, and abilities of in-game items.
alkador
Oooh, sounds very interesting! Thanks for the prompt and helpful replies, I'm going to give it a swing today and see if I can set it up myself. Wish I heard of the mod before ;) /edit: worked! Modified the model via the anvil, easy peasy! Edited March 4, 2011 by alkador
