mormegil27
Natural Environments is one of the most spectacular mods I have seen for Oblivion. I can only say good things about 99% of it. There is one thing I'd like to see changed, though: Torch lighting in outdoor areas. Unfortunately, if you have play tested a number of nightime weather patterns, you may have noticed that torches do not illuminate grass - even with brighter torches. When this is coupled with the overgrowth created from Natural Vegitation, it makes for a very dark journey in woodland areas even with a torch lit. I think I am getting eye strain, simply because most of Natural Environments is so realistic that I expect the torchlight to fall on the grass, and unconciously walk around looking at grass everywhere trying to figure out why it won't light. Also, I've noticed once you get to within about the equivalent of 20 feet of a tree, the reflected torchlight doesn't get brighter if you move closer than this, which it should in real life. Obviously the best fix would be to map light to grass, but this may not be possible in the oblivion engine, in which case there may be nothing the creator can do about it. Perhaps instead one could map more light to the ground in general and less light to the trees, which the torch does map onto. In a real forest at night the ground is most lit up, because it is perpendicular to the light coming in from the sky, whereas the trees usually look like silouettes (sp?). I note that this problem is most prevalent in rain at night. Anyway, what would others like to see in 3.0, besides the rainbow fix?
SickleYield
I don't use grass in my game, so that doesn't matter to me. I would like to register my kudos to the mod creator, though, if he or she is reading this. :) Great job. I'll look forward to your next release. raikien -.-
Well I use only the 200% vegetation part of the mod as for the rest adds to framerate loss, I would like an update to the 200% vegetation as some of the trees are sticking outta the ground funny no biggie but would be a nice update to me. As for grass I hate it it's hard to see and rips apart fps on my machine I not only scaled it down in the options I use the console comannd (tg) to disable it
Povuholo
Natural Environments won't be updated anymore, Max Teal (the creator) has left. If you want to discuss features for a weather mod you should probably discuss AWS. :)
