tyr1
Help, my Oblivion has suddenly went all awful looking! What happened was I accidentally clicked on the oblivion launcher when I was doing something completely unrelated. It then said Oblivion will now check your settings and threw me onto the lowest settings. I cranked these back up and then closed the launcher and when I wanted to play launched Oblivion properly, via the script extender.However....everything remains horrid. Its not just ugly, its downright broken. Grass hovering so you sort of 'swim' through it when you ride your horse, you know, a sort of level of ugly over the terrain. Grass where there should be paths...its all just messed up horrifically. Its like a mod collision except no new mods have been added. wtf? Anyone got any ideas? This is so damn annoying. Everything was working great before, took me a while to configure it just how I liked it too. Edited March 3, 2011 by tyr1
TheVampireDante
When you change the settings with the game's default launcher, you should run the game using that launcher to let the new effects settings take hold, then you can close it and run via the script extender launcher. OBSE doesn't detect the changes you've made if you just closed the launcher after changing them, as they haven't been saved and activated yet.
