LE Dual wield current spell/weapon hotkey mod [Request]

Hello, I've recently got this game on PC and am in the process of setting up the controls on a gamepad. I've got the SkyUI mod installed and I'm using it to set weapon/spell groups on hotkeys. The groups functionality is very useful, but I would really like to be able to quickly set whatever happens to be the currently equipped spell or weapon for either hand to both hands.

Example; I equip group 1 (Ward/Fireball spells) hold right (I would use Pinnacle Game Profiler) on the d-pad (what I would set this to personally, obviously it could be set to anything) and then the Fireball spell would be equipped to both hands. And then holding left would do the opposite, equipping whatever is on the left hand to both hands.

I guess this would require some kind of script that:
1- Checks what is currently equipped to a particular hand.
2- Equips the same spell or weapon onto the opposing hand.

I don't have any modding experience particularly, so I'm not sure how possible this is with Skyrim, or how to go about it. If anyone could give me any pointers for how to achieve this I would be very grateful, or if anyone could quickly knock this together that would be great too. :wink:
