ThelebKaarna
Edit: Meant to entitle thread: "FONV Data Folder Getting Clogged-Up??" OK, so when I unpack a mod and examine its contents, there's always some additional files, text document(s)/read me(s), sometimes image(s)/screen shot(s), etc etc, in addition to the stuff I actually need (Data, Textures, Meshes, ESM, FOMOD, etc). I use FOMM to handle all (60 or so) of my mods. What I've observed is that when I install/activate any given mod, FOMM pulls ALL of this *unnecessary* stuff (text documents, etc) into the NV Data Folder along with actual mod data. So my question is, does all this extraneous content impede the transference/loading of data into the game, and as a result hinder game performance in any way?? Would I be better off removing it all to another location, thereby having a 'leaner' NV Data Folder? Thanks for your thoughts and opinions  Edited March 3, 2011 by ThelebKaarna
Quetzlsacatanango
It just takes up disk space, nothing more. The game certainly doesn't care if there are a hundred readmes in your data dir. Might make it hard for you to find stuff though.

ThelebKaarna
Appreciate the responses, kinda figured that to be the case. I mean, why would FOMM bring *unnecesary* content into the Data Folder if it caused an kind of issue? Still, just wanted to be sure. Thanks again for responding. Quetzlsacatanango
It doesn't bring in anything you or your FOMOD don't tell it to.
