Mahare
Well, I'm attempting to create yet another Nuka Cola based mod for New Vegas. At this moment, here's what it would do: Re-introduce the Nuka-Grenade and Nuka Cola Quantum from Fallout 3.Add in some other classic flavors from Fallout Tactics - Cherry and Fusion.Mix in theoretical flavor Nuka Cola Clear and some fan-made flavors - Black, Burst, Heat and Frost.Make a Nuka-challenge!If I can figure it out, make a fridge that will turn all the versions of Nuka Cola into the delectable ice-cold versions. I'm not the best modder out there, but if I look at the Pristine Nuka Cola machine from Fallout 3 for an example, I might be able to make it work.Add in cans - if the alternate flavors get added. So. What am I looking for? Effects and recipes for these delightful effervescent elixirs. Trying to go a little out of the norm, I'd be looking for harvestable ingredients. For instance, the jalapeno pepper for the Nuka Cola Heat, so on and so forth. This would include Quartz and Victory - having them just use Nuka Cola just doesn't seem fulfilling to me. Anything that has established values will have the values closely upheld, if not exactly upheld. I'll try and match things like the Cherry and Fusion flavors to their in-game descriptions. Any suggestions though are not just wanted but desired with open arms!

Mahare
/snipWell, the thing is, I'm more of a scripter. I'm not the best texturer/modeler out there. So stuff that doesn't exist, like tequila and so on I can't add in. Looking to use stock ingredients already in the game.
simplywayne90
Is this for the Nuka-Cola Enhanced mod? (If It's not I apologize) Hmm I'm interested in this thread but I'm a bit busy so I'll post again later on, also I'll spend that time thinking up some recipes. Perhaps we should decide which flavor will be the most effective and helpful and which will have the lowest effects. That way the most "powerful" nuka-cola will be made of rare ingredients and the weakest made out of the most common ingredients. That way things will be balanced and encourage players to actually look for certain creatures/plants/items. I'm definitely suggesting some falvor use fission batteries as an ingredient.

Mahare
Is this for the Nuka-Cola Enhanced mod? (If It's not I apologize) Hmm I'm interested in this thread but I'm a bit busy so I'll post again later on, also I'll spend that time thinking up some recipes.Nope. I'm doing my own version. Not going to try and have one more "powerful" than the other - aiming for each being useful in their own way. Definitely gonna do a few things different. Fusion would act more like it did in Tactics to keep it in line with how it used to be. No empty bottles would be given. Not touching Star Bottle Caps. The ice cold drink thing will probably be similar to his - I mean, it's based on the Fallout 3 in-game idea. And we'd both be using Nuka Chemist. I wouldn't be changing any of the Nukas in game - like the physical placements. If I learn the G.E.C.K. better I might add in some of the other flavors to various places, but no replacing - I still want Nuka Cola to be as common as it is. I don't know whether I'd have it be a campfire or workbench mod - either make sense to me. I want all the ingredients to be respawnable, and at least one to come from some sorta wasteland plant if possible. Make salvaging more effective. Maybe even make it so that campfires use Survival and workbenches use Science; make it so that Nuka Chemist is affected by both Survival (for the fire) and Science (for the Workbench). Ice-Cold Nuka Cola probably would be fridge-only - no longer an option for the workbench/campfire. I've re-added the Nuka Grenade also. Not sure how I want to do this one. I might add in both a schematic and have it obtainable for Nuka-Chemist. It would only be buildable at a workbench, and it might require either Science or Explosives. Restoring dehydration doesn't make sense with most of them - they're soda. Perhaps waking you up, but not re-hydrating you...with one exception. Probably Clear. They might wake you up a little though. Considering making a (harmless) Nuka Cola addiction, kinda like the older Fallouts. Just for storyline. All in all, similar concepts to his but different interpretations and implementations. Asking for permission to use Frost and Heat as we speak. Hoping this will be a viable alternative. I'm always happy to see competing content, since it encourages improvement. Also.......about that Nuka-Cola addiction......perhaps you should watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9UwlAAnlmg
Mahare
Oh gods, I LOVE Nuka Break! Anyhow. Obviously the mods would be incompatible. The only things at present I need to figure out are... Some item placement stuff to scatter a few bottles throughout the Mojave... And the script for making things ice cold. Both should be easy enough. I just have to re-get into shape with it. Also considering using the Nukas as "safe" alternatives to drugs like Steady and Turbo. I'm up in the air on this, but if you get your skill that high and get the perk, and THEN get the stuff to make the Nukas, you should get a good reward for it. Mahare
Tentative additional ingredient list for all the specialty beverages: Black - Honey Mesquite Pod + Jalapeno PepperBurst - Barrel Cactus Fruit + Prickly Pear FruitCherry - Banana Yucca Fruit + Prickly Pear Fruit Clear - Barrel Cactus Fruit + Buffalo Gourd SeedFrost (if permission obtained) - Honey Mesquite Pod + Nevada Agave FruitFusion - Honey Mesquite Pod + Prickly Pear FruitHeat (if permission obtained) - Buffalo Gourd Seed + Jalapeno PepperQuantum - Nevada Agave Fruit + Banana Yucca FruitQuartz - Barrel Cactus Fruit + Nevada Agave FruitVictory - Banana Yucca Fruit + Buffalo Gourd Seed Each of these is found in the wild. One, the Nevada Agave fruit, isn't used for anything at the moment. Figure this way, it enables purchasing from food vendors or scrounging, so no one is left out.
