deershoot3r
I have recently started to learn to mod oblivion, i have retextured a staff and want it to only effect the custom staff i have created, the staff i have created has its own esp file, but how can i get the texture to just affect that staff? micalov
Textures are assigned to the nif files (meshes), rather then in an ESP ( this can be done in fallout, not oblivion) SO you have to make a copy of the staff meshes and set the texture path to your new textures in nifskope. deershoot3r
alright thank you, this has been much help, now if i didnt want to do that, is there anyway to add a completely new texture to the textures bsa file, and make that texture work for certain objects, or is part of the nifskope thing? micalov
each new texture is assigned to each nif seperately, also you dont want to add textures default BSA files, can mess up to many things, if your doing texture replacement you just add them loose to the folder same as with mods and use archive invalidation to tell the game to load loose textures/mesh. deershoot3r
alright i see where your coming from, but im still a little bit confused, if i tell the game to load the lose textures/meshes how will the object (in this case the staff i created) know to load those lose textures instead of the default ones?
